We’re on the hunt for a SENIOR TRAVEL DESIGNER to join an outstanding team in the luxury travel industry. Whether you’re based in Johannesburg or Cape Town , this role offers the chance to showcase your skills in crafting world-class itineraries and delivering exceptional service to agents and guests alike.
What You'll Be Doing:
Designing and presenting bespoke, luxury travel itineraries across Southern and East Africa that exceed guest and agent expectations.
Building strong relationships with travel agents and understanding their business trends and clients’ needs.
Communicating continuously with agents to offer top-notch service and support.
Accurately costing and presenting products, ensuring bookings are handled with precision and efficiency.
Reviewing guest travel documents for accuracy before dispatching them to agents.
Staying on top of changes in product offerings to keep clients and agents informed.
Attending product training to maintain your expertise in Wilderness and associated products.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications :
- Matric certificate (with maths – minimum standard grade or above).
- Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality.
Experience :
- 2-4 years in a similar role within the inbound travel industry.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and promote products.
- Familiarity with booking systems such as TourPlan, WISH, or similar.
- Solid knowledge of Southern and East African destinations and regional logistics.
Skills :
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, especially under pressure.
- Creative, organised, and proactive in following up with agents.
- Foreign language skills are a bonus!
